NOW ON DISPLAY IN FLOSSMOOR​

Modeled after the Northern Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Project, Flossmoor's "Barrels of Hope" project engages local artists to paint the barrels with messages of hope and inspiration. The barrels will be displayed in Flossmoor from July until September. Bids to take the art home may be placed via online auction.

The Public Art Commission previewed the program with six barrels in 2020 featuring local artists. Like Flossmoor’s statues and parks, the painted barrels were eye-catching pieces of art that help attract people to our beautiful community!

The barrels, which were used to brew craft beer at Flossmoor Station Restaurant & Brewery, were donated by the restaurant for the program. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Flossmoor Public Art Commission, which places outdoor sculpture through the community.
